Bloom Bassinet is a concept designed for bedside use to promote safe & healthy infant development. Bloom assists superior & convenient care by keeping parents & newborns at arms reach.
 
The form embodies a floral cocoon celebrating the precious nature of its use. Subtle integration of sensor technology monitors baby's movements, recording data to a mobile app. This feedback creates a soothing glow pulsing around the edges. Essentially the unit becomes alive with the baby's presence. 
 
The concept was developed and prototyped by Bloom, exhibited at ABC Kids Expo, Las Vegas 2009 & Kind+Jugend, Cologne 2009.
